Shailani Mata Mandir of Gomti Nagar Lucknow is very popular locally and
visited by the local and nearby places devotees regularly. Sailani Mata Mandir of
Gomti Nagar is actually a Lord Hanuman Ji temple where the main idol of Lord
Hanuman Ji.
There are other gods idols also established in the temple like Maa Durga,
Shanidev Ji, Lord Ganesh, etc. There is a small Lord Shiva Shivling temple also
established inside the campus of Shailani Maa temple. The name of this Shivling
temple is Shri Shaileshwer Mahadev.
Shailani Mata temple has sufficient space for religious activities

Who is Shailani Mata?
Shailani Mata is actually Goddess Maa Durga. There more than hundreds of
names of Maa Durga. Goddess Durga Maa, Shailani name means who live in mountains.
As per Hindu legends, Maa Durga lives in Trikut Mountain that is situated in
the Katra, Jammu.
Shailani Mata is another name of Goddess Durga as it has the meaning ‘one
who lives in the mountains.’ As Goddess Durga in the form of Parvati lives on
Mount Kailash, she is also known as Shaila.
There are very few temples of Maa Durga with the name of Shailani Mata. One
temple in Lucknow, one in Barabanki, and one in the Jalandhar district of India.

Shailani Mata temple is about 40 years old and its renovation or
improvement work is done with the help of local devotees and the temple committee.
Timing of Temple
Temple is opened daily for the devotees. Temple opens early morning and
closes in late at night. The timing is given below.
- Opening Time: 05:00 am
- Closing Time: 10:00 pm
During the festival time, the temple opens early and closes at the night.

How to Reach Shailani Maa Mandir
The temple is situated just behind the Jugauli railway crossing.
Peoples who come from Indira Nagar and go to Gomti Nagar who crosses the
Jugauli railway crossing can see this temple easily. The temple is situated in Vishwas Khand 3,
Gomti Nagar near the Badi Jugauli village. To come here you can come via Gomti
Nagar or Indira Nagar. It is only about 2 km far away from Lohia square in
Gomti Nagar.
